About Celtic Picnic

Celtic Picnic is Vancouver’s largest open-air Celtic celebration — a joyful, family-friendly festival that brings together live music, traditional dance, cultural showcases, and community connection. Set in the heart of the city, it’s a day where people of all backgrounds can come together to celebrate Celtic culture and the spirit of togetherness.

This isn't your average picnic. Think live bands and DJs playing under the sun, food trucks serving up delicious bites, dancers lighting up the stage, and kids running around with painted faces. It’s a full-day vibe , rooted in heritage, fueled by community, and sprinkled with magic.

To create space for Celtic culture to be celebrated, shared, and experienced in a way that feels accessible, inclusive, and joyful. We believe in the power of art, music, and gathering to build community, and that’s exactly what we do every year at Celtic Picnic.

Celtic Picnic started as a small community gathering and quickly became one of the most beloved cultural events in the city. Every year, we welcome thousands of attendees — families, artists, musicians, and curious newcomers, who come together to celebrate, connect, and just have a great time outdoors.

The Team

David Willis

Co-Founder & Creative Producer

David is the heart behind Celtic Picnic. A longtime event producer with deep ties to the local arts scene, he’s known for creating experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways. Celtic Picnic is his passion project, a love letter to community, creativity, and culture. He oversees all the creative direction, programming, and production magic that makes the day what it is.

Stephen Porter

Co-Founder & Creative Producer

Stephen is one of the minds behind Celtic Picnic and the force that helps shape the overall creative vision. From stage layouts to cultural moments, he makes sure everything feels intentional, beautiful, and rooted in community. Whether he’s coordinating with artists or fine-tuning production details, Stephen brings the vibe and the structure—equal parts heart and logistics.

Rian Fitzgerald

Artist Liaison

Rian is our go-to guy for all things DJ, music, and artist-related. He helps curate the sound of the weekend, working closely with DJs, live performers, and community groups to make sure the lineup is FIRE and representative of the culture. He keeps the talent happy, the energy high, and the transitions smooth.

Naoise McCabe

Artist Liaison & Director of Promotions

Need to know what’s happening, where, and when? Naoise’s got it on lock. As our tour manager and promo lead, she keeps the street teams moving, the performers organized, and the buzz alive. From coordinating schedules to leading the festival’s promo efforts, she makes sure the momentum stays high from announcement to afterparty.

Edna Batengas

Marketing Director & Brand Partnerships Lead

Edna is the voice and vibe behind the brand. With 10+ years in marketing, communications, and event strategy, she leads all things content, community outreach, and partnership development. She's known for bold ideas, real talk, and making people feel seen and included. If it feels like Celtic Picnic has heart, Edna probably had a hand in that.

How can I sponsor Celtic Picnic?

Contact us or fill out our sponsorship intake form. We have multiple sponsorship tiers and custom options to fit your brand’s goals.
Will I get media exposure?

Yes! Sponsors are featured in our official press release, tagged on socials, and included in promotional materials both online and on-site.
What are the benefits of sponsoring?

Depending on your tier, benefits may include: Branded on-site activations Logo placement on marketing materials Social media shoutouts Inclusion in our “Picnic Perks” city-wide promo Booth space + press exposure
When are sponsor assets due?

All logos, brand materials, and activation plans must be submitted by May 1, 2025.
Do sponsors get booth space?

Select tiers include booth space—check your package or reach out to confirm.
Can I have a custom activation or experience?

YES—we love creativity! From lounges and games to samplers or stage shoutouts, we’re happy to collaborate on how your brand shows up.
Can I include product in a giveaway or swag bag?

Absolutely. Let us know what you’d like to offer and we’ll find the best placement for it.
Can I sell products and accept payments?

Absolutely. We recommend accepting both cash and cards as Wi-Fi may not always be reliable on-site.
Is electricity available?

We have limited power spots available—first come, first served. Please request in advance.
Do I need a permit or license?

Yes! Food vendors must submit a VCH Temporary Food Permit and insurance. All vendors must provide proof of insurance and a valid business license.
Is there parking or load-in support?

You’ll receive a load-in/load-out time slot and map before the event. We’ll have volunteers on-site to help you get set up.
Do I need to bring my own tent and tables?

Yes. All vendors must bring their own setup, including tents with secure weights, tables, chairs, and signage.
What are the event dates and times?

Celtic Picnic takes place June 7–8, 2025, from 11 AM to 9 PM both days along Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver.
What kind of vendors can apply?

We welcome food trucks, artisan makers, local brands, community organizations, and service-based businesses. Family-friendly and culturally aligned vendors are a plus!
How big is the booth space?

Standard booths are 10x10 ft. If you need more space, let us know and we’ll try to accommodate.
What if it rains?

Celtic Picnic is a rain or shine event. Please come prepared with weatherproofing!
